Just received my new Redline pressure tester. Taking it out of the box, it looks almost identical to the matco tester. One of the other techs has the matco version, so I took some pictures of them side by side. I paid 145 with free shipping from tooltopia, matco price 202 plus the need to buy the adapters which can range from 30-50 dollars apiece. The only major differences that I could see are more apperance than anything else, the redline has a black rubber boot around the gauge, the print on the redline is different, they even have the same owners manual. I tested its functionallity on a truck that was in my bay, I really like the universal fit adapters. Redline is on the left, Matco on the right.

You can always save money by buying the oem version instead of the truck branded item. You might take a hit on service but, most times you'll be ok. I picked up the Redline universal adapter set for $50 last year during a SEMA special they offered. They can be handy at times.

Walked onto the mac truck today, and there was the exact same pressure tester, but with a mac label on it. Did not have chance to ask how much. Goes to prove if you do your research, you can save some coin on tools.
