help chosing a motor/pump for my lift

I just bought a snap on ya-9001 2 post lift but it didn't come with a motor. Any suggestions on picking one out. Brands to look out for? I was eyeballing this one on the bay...

I'm not sure what horsepower motor, or reservoir size, or pressures are good.... Would that be in the ball park? Anybody have experience with a Fenner pump?

Why dont you just get the correct one from Snap On ????????? That way you know it is right and will be safe. Personally, I dont think a lift is anywhere to be using anything other than OEM parts.

I'll ask my snap on guy on monday what one will go for. Chances are I might have better luck going through a wheeltronics dealer. I have a feeling my SO dealer would refer me to Snap On Equiptment, but you never know.

They seem to have alot of wheeltronics parts. I've searched for a cross to the part numbers that i've found in the snap on equiptment site among others for the right pump but came up empty. It will be a few weeks before I can get the lift mounted in the ground, so I have some time to find a suitable replacement.

I contacted the local snap on lift guy. And so far he has nothing for me. The shop equiptment place got back to me and reccomended this pump...

I'll probably just get it. As far as the cables go, i'll take them off and bring them to a local cable place to have new ones made. The place i'm thinking of specializes in cables, and can rate them for hd applications. So I will trust them.

I have notice all pumps for two post are made by he same company. Stone mfg. when my motor went out, I contacted stone. The lady at bendpak was being a beech that day and was too stupid to help me.

the motor at stone was same model number as bendpak

seems to me that the power unit from automotive surplus is the better deal.

It shows a higher flow, which i'm guessing means a faster up for the lift. What says the peanut gallery about this. Now i'm leaning towards the automotive shop equiptment pump.

Check with granger. I build hangar doors w/those motor-pump units.
