I picked up the metric set last night with my $10 coupon. Was going to post soon, but you beat me to it. Pretty good deal in my opinion. I didn't want to pay what the craftsmans are going for on ebay, for something i'd use occasionally.

I posted this deal in the other Kobalt thread... unfortunately only the metric are available online for some reason?

I may do an order online using coupons and pick up in store. How do these feel? I know theyre not USA, but I can assume Taiwan, not china?

Taiwan, not China. Great quality for the price. I have a couple mixed Pro-Grade (same manufacturer) flex sockets I use for work on the boats and they're just as nice as the rest of my Kobalt stuff.

How do they compare to the Craftsman USA flex sockets? Ive got a few assorted I picked up back during the 97 cent socket clearance.

Holiday display?

Yes, looks like a holiday display, was away from the normal tool area and over by lawn and garden at the Lowes I visited yesterday, mostly small tool sets that didn't interest me, but the flex sockets were why I stopped.

I've wanted to get a set of SAE flex sockets for a while now. I've got a set of metric ones from Northern tool, and these seem to be of similar quality, both sets made in Taiwan. I would have preferred 6point, but couldn't pass them up for the price. I also picked up a set of 1/2" drive SAE deep sockets for $19.99.

Yes, most stores have all the holiday deals out already, though most are not marked down. Lots of BF stuff is out regular price as well.

Not mine. =(

I also checked Home Depot yesterday and they were moving around their displays at the back of the store.

I will seriously consider heading out to Lowes and picking these up. The only thing is that I have NEVER owned Kobalt tools. Are they decent quality? Is Lowes good about honoring the warranty?

Yes I am, Told the cashing to just give me the sale price in the pic. So take a screen shot of the price tag just in case.... Rich....

They just got the 3/8 flex and crows feet, before that they had neither. I doubt Kobalt will be bringing those other sizes in with flex sockets at any time. :(

Thanks for the heads up on this deal, I just picked up a set of SAE and metric from the local Lowes in Gastonia, NC. Still had my $10 off $10 coupon, so both sets out the door were $21.29! :D

They feel like decent sockets, the chrome is really nice, most of the swivels are just right, but there are a couple sockets that feel a little loose. For the price though, I feel like these are a really good deal!

Just picked up SAE and Metric about an hour ago. Still a good amount of them at the local Lowes (they're at the bottom of the shelf, not on any sale rack so I don't think a lot of folks have noticed)

It would be annoying not having the 14mm if I had only bought the Metric, but I have the 9/16, so should be fine.

I agree about the 9/16 but its nice to have a 14mm if you are just grabbing the metric set to take with you. I usually buy kobalt stuff to put in my trackday box and big four bikes are metric. Just preference but still a awesome deal.

Not arguing at all, I hate when metric skips. This is the first set I've actually bought that has a skip in it, and I only purchased because of the sale price.
