Home depot: 26in Black 5-drawer cabinet

Is that the Chinese one or the USA waterloo one?

I got the 6-drawer Waterloo one earlier this summer on clearance and paid $130 after tax original price was $269

Must say that my wife showed up at the cottage with the $199 deal (last year). Ball bearings, made in China direct from Home Depot.

She even brought me lunch while I was setting it up. Hmm..wonder what she was up to?

If this is the box I am thinking of, it was clearanced back in mid July. I got one at the end of July for this price, but I had to peer around the top of the racks to find it up there. Might be a few left here or there.

I got the 6-drawer USA made one back in July and paid $130 when the original price was $269.

Once I saw them go on clearance I waited for the price to go from $199 down to $170 then to $129 before I bit on it. Also bought a USA made Truck tool box for $175 was $280. Used a 10% off coupon on top of both of the clearance prices.

If I could find them at the $44 price I would definitely buy one!

Yes, I believe these are the same boxes brought out last holiday season that didn't sell very well and were put on clearance back in July. There were several different SKUs, I saw the deal on slickdeals.net and checked on the Home Depot inventory checker site (http://sd.site88.net/homedepot.html) to find some in my area. I ended up buying the last 3 of both SKU 482-449 and 203-537
in my area back in August. These SKUs were combination top and bottom boxes so if you're looking in the inventory checker, type in these SKUs as well. They were up on one of the top shelves, long forgotten.

By now, I suspect most have been snapped up but it always pays to check. The boxes are ok, nothing special. I paid around $85 for my 26" pairs and thought it was a fairly good deal and for $44 for the bottom box alone I'd buy more.

Thanks to op. found one 5 mins away with the sku lookup tool posted above. Store showed 1. Got there cashier looked it up and they showed 2, could only find one (otherwise was buying both). Was up in pallet racks with sign saying 179.00, it rang up 44.03.

Awesome deal....

How do you tell which one it is? On the box it says Made in USA with USA ad Foreign parts....

Which store? That sounds like what just happened to me in Greensburg PA. Online tool said 1, customer service said 2, and I couldn't find any when I got there.

I did find a 110-510 26" 5 drawer cabinet that looks like a slightly newer version of the original 5 drawer for $57.03. The drawer handles look updated and has different casters.

Wichita East had three...had to walk around looking at the top shelf but did find one and it rang up for 44.03....Damn this Thread!!!! loaded one up to take home. Home Depot Inventory checker was only showing one in stock...I called and asked for a stock inquiry and they said they had two... actually had three at store. Check those top racks!

Just checked HD in Columbia, MO and they looked at me like I was crazy! Then they pulled up the sku 192-083 and it showed it for $44.03! :willy_nil

Unfortunately, they had none in stock, no other stores had one, and being a clearance item it cannot be ordered. He talked to the manager and they offered me 15% off the 27" 5 drawer listed at $209. :lol:

Needless to say I walked away without it, but did pick up a couple of the $5 vice-grip sets! :rocker:

Went down to a local HD after using the online stock checker and finding out they had 1 in stock. Well guess what.. they had 2.. :rocker:

I had 6 or 7 HD employees all asking where I found out about the deal... All while hoping I was only going to buy 1 of them...

I think I'm going to bolt them together and make me one big cabinet.
