Also he bought 14 of them from the auction in CA I saw these on Bidspotter....typical price at auction...$400ea without tooling...plus buyers preminum @ 10% would be $440 cost...then figure 1 truck to move them with two guys $350/14+25 so tack on another 25 to the 440 for a grand total of 465ea landed....the guy is on crack...I would do 750ea that would be it...I buy brand new Lista scratch and dent for $400 and they are new!!

These are the wide Listas so he can get a little more for them. They are not were common on CL. Just the square ones, 28x28, go for $100/drawer.

Just my opinion - but it is rare that these Lista Cabinets come up for sale used around here. I'd be happy to pay $1250.00 for one - if it wasn't in very poor condition. Then yes, I'd be happy to pay another $650.00 to have it restored and powder coated etc. They are very well built, smooth and have great drawer accessories. Plus my Lista Cabinet's overall construction and drawer strength makes my Snap-On box look second rate. The size of these used units and the number of drawers make them almost ideal for the average back yard mechanic's home use.

Of course I'd offer less to see what the seller will reall take.. LOL
FWIW,

I'd never pay even close to that. I have four industrial cabinets, including a Lista that is 60" wide by about that wide. I paid $700 for that one, which is $500 more than I paid for my next most expensive cabinet.

My neighbor has some lista cabinets he picked up for a deal.

Those are worth $1250 for being taller off the ground than my (not stainless ;)) nuts (all this 36" high HF and CM garbage is just that; I'm not Hornswoggle) and sturdy enough for my (fat) **** to jump upon and off again. Plus the drawer sizes are going to hold A LOT of tools.

I would love to know where to get Lista cabinets slightly scratched for $400 each.

Please share.

Hard to imagine at least a few won't be selling closer to $500 before they are all gone. Its good quality, but its commercial storage, not tool boxes, and not made to fit typical tool sets. Commercial storage frequently sells for scrap.
