Hi all, got yet another beauty from my dad's shop, just finished the restoration on this one and anxious to find it a new home and make room for the rest of the presses in the queue.
This one is something special, a very nicely restored Atlas, model #1060. As per usual, this one was stripped down, blasted, primed, painted and polished up to better than new condition. During the tear down, all the bearings in the press were replaced, wiring has been re-done and a vintage GE 1/3HP motor (w/bushings, not ball bearings) is fitted with the original 4-step pulleys and re-wired with a new cord (and new link belt). Chuck is a Jacob's 1/2", also restored. Runs smooth and very quiet, and looks better than brand new. The table doesn't have a scratch on it and was never drilled.
You're not going to find a better looking Atlas floor model than this one, they simply don't come any nicer.
Asking $350 obo from GJ members. As per usual, shipping can be arranged at additional expense, probably considerable given the weight. Open to working something out if you are so inclined, definitely PM with interest.
