I am needing a door for an interior wall in my shop that divides an air conditioned work space from a non air conditioned storage space. Home depot keeps trying to sell me standard hollow core or solid core interior doors.
Anyhow i am hoping some of you guys have used something like what i am after. I do not want a threshhold as i will be moving equipment through it. Thanks

I had these in my last office they worked darn well between our air-conditioned showroom and un-air-conditioned warehouse. They were also very cost effective.

I used steel ADA entrance doors to separate the conditioned spaces in my shop. The ADA doors have a very low threshold that I can wheel heavy items on carts thru. The one to my wifes area is a 36", the one to my clean room is 6' and consists of 2-36" doors in one frame.

Why is the AC a factor?

Because i want some form of insulation value bewtween the spaces. I dont expect to go from one side to the other more than a few times a day. I want to be able to roll welders, engines on stands, carts, tool chests etc through it so a threshold would not be a good idea but a bulb seal on bottom of door would work.

If you call a company that does commercial drive-thru or walk-in freezers, I bet they will have something.

I put an exterior door between the spaces in my similar situation...though I have steps leading to it so the threshold wasn't a problem. There's no probably with removing the threshold from the door jam...should pop off pretty easy. You may need to cut down the jam slightly so the door sweeps pretty close to the floor but it should be pretty easy.

This pair of door is simply made from 3/4 inch plywood. They have lasted about 30 years so far. They are not even insulated, just sealed well with some weather strips. A little framing and a sheet of good plywood, and your done.
On the inside I just used a simple hardware door closer (like on a storm door) to insure it always closes to keep my office closed off (A/C) and sawdust out.

I can roll my loaded engine stand or shop crane over the ADA threshold. They are made low and shaped for running things over them.

Just a regular solid core door is all you need. Then add a sweep strip on the bottom to help keep dust and dirt out of the condition space. If you want to further seal the door then add the strips around the door edges

I have gotten some automatic drop-down door threshold/seals from this company. They are pretty slick. There's a plunger in the jam that actuates the mechanism for them to drop. They can be even fitted into the center of a door with adequate thickness.

You could even screw a sheet of rigid insulation on to one side for the insulating factor.
