Name is Boxcar Jake and my handle is JakesJunction... Well, my small shop that was once my garage I have called JakesJunction and I spend my time off there after work with my wife and dog. I do a little salvage and surplus items that I refurbish for resale or my own use. I am a commercial driver transporting and disposal of hazardous waste for a local company. I use to be a commercial recovery/tow truck driver for the freeways here in California for 20 years. Two of those years I was an embeded recovery operator for the Marine supply convoys over in Iraq. I was incharge of at least 2 wreckers and 3 crewman operating heavy combo axel international tow trucks both stationary and rotator booms trucks. Where ever our brave Marines went in Iraq, we followed in case convoy or military vehicles needed our help whether break down, driver error or battle damage to convoy. I was very proud of my crew and our recovery department, but most of all, I was proud being there with our brave young men and woman of our military and using my experiance and trade to serve them when we were needed. And they utilized us on most every run we made with the convoy. My time there was good times and bad, but never a mission failure and served them even when roads were red and dangerous... that was when we were needed most unfortunatly. Thank you, Jake
