Was in Sears today to pick up an internet order, so I had to browse through the aisles to see what was on sale. YMMV

They are very nice for $50, especially when they were USA made. They are all Taiwan now, so I cant comment on the newer ones.

They are very nice ratchets. I have the 3/8" and 1/2" in my box. Love 'em! The wide handle takes some getting use to though...

I have the set as well. Look on the back of the peg hooks at your store. There is sometimes a USA set. My local sears hardware had 4 sets in stock ALL USA. Even the Taiwan made are worth the 50 for the set IMHO. I own the USA set and the premium 84t set and actually like these more

I wouldn't mind getting a set if it was an online price too. But I'm heading to my local store tomorrow for some rebuilt kits and will take a look.

I'm betting this is one of the "local ad" deals and only available in certain areas.

Great price for the set. There are still USA ones out there, but not too many.

$50.04 is an odd price for the ratchets. Generally they do not round down to such an obscure cents amount of $0.04.

I'm going to check my local sears store tomorrow, if I can find a USA set on sale ill buy them for the heck of it. Will report back with my findings.

Dang, makes me want to check out the local store just in case before I use my $15 in points. Like I hardly need anymore ratchets, and have the 1/4 already. But I know where some USA ones and just want to rescue them.

I think that happens alot --- regional/local sale.

Another thing I see with my nearest Sears store is that online prices are ALWAYS cheaper than what is on the shelves. It can range anywhere from a few dollars to just a few cents. I print out the items I want from their website at home and take those pages to the store to get the online advertized price. I have asked the manager several times now about the price discrepancy and he doesn't have a clue why his store is higher priced.
