Setting forms today on a 30' x 60' shed with enclosed 20' wide, 30' deep bay. Where should I place the pads for the lift I hope to get soon? Was thinking about midway, but since my truck is 23 feet long, can I place it approximately 12' from the rollup door? What considerations should I take into account?

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks for the replies! That's what I was thinking, but just wanted to make sure that I was on the right track. I'm looking seriously at the Bendpak XPR-10 as I don't see the need for asymmetric lift. I own a '65 Chevy II and trucks up to 3/4 ton. If that lift seems like a good choice, I'll start saving up some cash!

I put my lift far enough from the front wall to have tools and room to work in front of the vehicle and far enough from the sidewall to get an axle out.
