Sears store in Landover Maryland closing discounting total store inventory till mid March 2014. For those of us near by there maybe tools we can pickup.
Interesting. Sears was the only store standing on the 88 acre site. Wow!

Sears will hold a liquidation sale at its store on Brightseat Road in Landover beginning Friday Jan. 10 and close the store for good in mid-March, a company spokesman said.
The store operated for more than a decade in a sea of empty parking lots after Landover Mall closed in 2002 and was demolished a few years later.
At the time of the mall’s closure, Sears officials said they would stick it out in Landover, even with nothing surrounding it on 88 acres.

Sears is closed, they just don't know it.
Woolworth store.Man, sad to see all of the Sears bashing going on here. Let's take a break from the cork sniffing and remember where a good deal of handymen got their tools from.
Yep, Craftsman tools help to rebuild a good deal of the USA.
All of you who are cheering their closing should be ashamed of yourself.
at the end of the day, Sears did this to Sears.
Actually K-Mart did this to Sears... http://www.nbcnews.com/id/6509683/n...mart-acquire-sears-billion-deal/#.UuYSEhDTlD8
It was just a prolonged last breath for Kmart
What level of discounting are we talking here. I've seen stores close (not Sears) and discount 15%, big deal. Or I've seen them discount small amounts then once all the good stuff is cleaned out start with progressively lower percentages.
Man I'd love to go on a Sears shopping spree at their Outlet prices.

After seeing the quality of the last few Craftsman tool kits, and tool items I have purchased YOU should be shamed for supporting them. Chinese ****....
I love brand new sockets with NO labeling on them.
Sears has been dumping gasoline on themselves for the last few years. Diminished tool quality, hassle when to need to replace a tool for whatever reason, it was only time. I'm not even going to get in to their other departments like electronics and such. Finally, the match has been lit.

Plain and simply, BS. No matter what you think of Sears they employee thousands of employees and pay a bucket load of taxes. They have done what the felt they had to to continue on. Their tools are no worse than what you will find in Lowes or HD. I think those celebrating Sears decline are sick individuals.
