There are plenty of threads on HF tools. Everything has been discussed many times. Just search on the tool you are wanting to buy. Can we let the thread die? I like this just having deals here.

that's true that there are a lot of threads that talk about HF but deals do change every so often. Thanks for the opinion though.

HF prices have been on the increase. They did offer a 20% off coupon before and now upgraded to a 25% off one. However some of there prices increased by 30% so they are making 5% more. You need to monitor prices wayyyyy before you purchase. Some item pricing have stayed stable. It depends what you are looking for. I recently bought a 1'' wide bench belt sander. It has been on sale forever at $40.00. I used the 25% off and it can't be beat for that money. the Delta, Northern , and Grizzly have same model for double and triple the price.

What is the best rolling box that is around at HF? I found this one on one of the threads:

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=234252&highlight=harbor

It's listed at $1,499 on this thread....I could be reading this wrong, I see a 72 in. and a 56 in. same make but smaller. I know it would be better with the 72 since it's more drawers, but would 56" be beneficial. The 72 in. is in fact on sale at $999 and the 56" is at 799.99

This is the 56 in. roller cabinet that I like

Prices at Harbor Freight have been increasing steadily over the past several years as BD1 stated.

If you save your Harbor Freight sale emails or flyers you would see this trend as I have too!

For the Sidewalk sale last night, I did not see anything worthwhile my $, but may go back to get a few 2 packs of the Mini LED flashlights that are worth the $2 at this sale. They work well as a car, toolbox, or any small area location flashlight.

I did purchase another set of the Pittsburgh Pro set of 8 screwdrivers. They may be inexpensive, but they do work as well as most any set of screwdrivers that I've had. I expect the price of those to increase in the future.

I would like HF to expand the number of the Pittsburgh Pro set of screwdrivers for the hobbyist and mechanics.

The socket rails are cheap, and about as good as you could expect elsewhere.

Is it not easier to say, what is NOT a good deal at HF ? :dunno:

Everything that breaks? :)

Good observation, but it's also worth saying that HF of today is much improved over HF from 10 years ago. I've broken a lot less tools recently, which is a scary thought for Sears/HD/Lowes and the like. I'll still have nice drills, impact drivers/wrenches, miter saws, etc. because I use them all the time, but for tools I use once twice a year, I honestly can't fault them.

Yes Please.

General discussions about retail stores don't belong here.

I disagree. If we stop discussing stores like Sears, Lowes, Home Depot, Harbor Freight, Tractor Supply Company, Grainger, Northern Tools, Grizzly, and others, then we won't have anything to talk about on the forum at all.

Without those stores, most of us wouldn't have the tools we do now.

If you don't like the thread, don't read it. It costs you nothing to just ignore it.
