House project is under way with a 3 car garage all to myself :D

One of the reasons why I want a lift is to be able to wash the underneath of the car but not sure how that would effect the lifts?

Any pros and cons using the lifts?

Please advice?

Thanks

Wash under the car? Some of us 4WD guys just use a couple of sprinklers set under the Jeep (or your vehicle of choice). Turn on the water and soak the underside. After a while it's cleaner'n snot.

Is there a reason you need this to be inside, on a lift? To me, it seems like a lot of bother to go to.

It would be no different than washing your car, the only part is the power points. You may want to cover them or unplug. Just as you detail you vehicle do the same for the lift. Standing water can be a rust development.

I spray oil leaks with a garden hose at work; wash out old coolant and spray out the muddy ones
Hasn't harmed the lift at all; stopped up the drain many many many times though
I also scrub the floors with concrete soap and rinse the heck out of it with no issues

I see lots of shops with lifts outside. Keep the rust prone parts greased and protect the electricals from spray. You should be good to go.
