I want to give these guys some free publicity because no one ever mentions them on the board and they make some damn good quality pliers in my opinion. Some of the high quality pliers branded with MAC's logo are manufactured by KAL Tools, the others are from Channellock. These are not the cheap MAC branded pliers from Taiwan that come in sets. They make the P92S nose pliers for MAC Tools, which are my favorite nose pliers of all time, period. ;)

I have some KAL pliers, the long cutting pliers are my favorite, and frequently used. They seem to be very well made, and are USA to boot.:bounce:

I find it odd that they don't list country of origin or say they are made in the US. I can see the "USA" on some of their tools but not on others.

I have never came across a company who makes tools in the US and not heavily advertise it.

We have manufacturing factories in Southern California and Pennsylvania that are committed to providing quality tools made to the highest standards for professional use. Our functional quality is excellent and all products are manufactured to exceed U.S. government or ANSI specifications.

I will never buy another KAL tool in my life. I broke a 2" crowfoot of theirs, called them about warranty and was told they quit making them, would not replace them, and would not give a monetary refund. Lifetime warranty, my ***.

Kal Tools... I remember hearing about them, but never actually perused the website. Interesting... but personally, I'll stick to Channellock. I always liked their blue handles :D

Is the Kal Tool Co included in the "Tool Manufacturers" sticky? I'm too lazy to go look...

Notice that it mentions only that they have factories in those locations. Doesn't say "we manufacture all of our tools here", for all we know, they could have those two, and a BIG one over in Chi-wan somewhere.

I can't see those wrenches and sockets being made here in the US and us not knowing about them

I have some of the old KAL wrenches that have been great for many years. Made in the USA as well.

What a coincidence since I just found a nice KAL 15" breaker bar. The knurling is kinda rough, but I like it. It has like a matte silver finish to it.

On that note, I also picked up an old 3/4 drive SO breaker bar and 1/2 drive adapter. I paid $30, which seemed like a pretty good deal to me. Who knows...
