Here is the link to the live feed!

Welcome to ****!:bounce:

The day is set for Sunday April 26, 2015 at my warehouse / shop in Woodbridge, Virginia! I say "integrated" because there are participants from both GG and GJ (so I just didn't use "integrated" because it spells **** better):D

Thus far, I have at least 10 members that have expressed interest, along with a bunch of local mechs that are interested in dumping some extra tools, and picking up some needed ones. (So don't bring collectibles only......if you have modern tools to trade, bring 'em!)

Personally, I'll give a little tease regarding what could be offered up for trade from me, given you present the right items in return:
***A Reed, a Wilton and a nicely restored Taiwan vise;
***Huot, SO, and Blackhawk top chests which I'm hoping are fully restored by the 26th;
***A plethora of my duplicate Bonney wrenches and sockets, as well as 20+ pairs NOS / in the box Utica/Bonney pliers;
***Tons of my duplicate Proto and Proto Challenger duplicate wrenches and sockets, extensions, wobbles, etc.
***Plomb DOEs, DBEs, combos and sockets
***Boxes of ALL U.S.A. made ratchets, sockets and wrenches from Williams, Wright, S-K, P&C, Herbrand, Hinsdale, Craftsman, New Britain, Fleet, Indestro, Mustang, American Forge, Billings, Thorsen, Giller, Kraeuter, Snap-On, MAC, MATCO, Husky and others I can't remember off the top of my head;
***Complete socket sets from Thorsen, Wright, Bonney (maybe:)), Proto, Proto-Challenger, S-K (S-K Tools, Diamond logo, and Wayne), Easco, and others;

Our regular GJ "crew" will likely be getting the party started on Saturday evening with some "beef and brew" so if you're so inclined, bring a cot and pass out with us in the shop! Who knows, we might break out the poker tables. I'll provide eats and brews on Sunday but you're welcome to bring something "pot luck style." Burgers and dogs will be the order of the day on Sunday to provide a nice base.

I'll have a couple folding tables but you might want to throw one in, along with a chair or two. I have 10 or so folding chairs but you may want to ensure your **** has a place to land should you need it.

I'm hoping for a good attendance, good enough to justify making this an annual event so PM me with your "intent to attend," and feel free to post up examples of what you'll be bringing to barter with. I'll PM all attendees with the exact address as we get closer in to the event.

Thanks and I hope to see you there!

Todd

Sounds pretty good. Not sure if I could make it but it does sound like a great gtg, plus there are tools that can be traded.

I'd like to think that my previous suggestion of using "TATAs" for Twertsy's Automotive Tool Association was the early inspiration behind your decision to go with "****." I like it! Good luck with the 1st annual. I hope it grows into something big.

Have a good Day:beer:

So, if I send you my box of "swap tools" would you get rid of them for me and get most everything on my want list? Only partially kidding.
Looks like 1860 approx. from home to you. I'd ride a scooter that far for any reason.
Enjoy the weekend.

Lx460 - the woman consistently says I ride too fast, too close and border on senseless. Thats why she only gets on the bagger damn seldom.

Still wishing I had my first mini-bike.

Not like that one however.

Wife would never have to know . . . . it IS more than 60 miles, so the 60 mile rule would apply !! :evil:

twertsy, the move into the Rousseau is still a work in progress. Not sure how I ended up with so many doubles and triples and a lot of used & abused tools. I guess I do know, one of my buds in the old days worked at a bar that had a pawn shop attached and there was everything under the sun. A lot of good, some decent and a large quantity of ****. This was the '80's & early 90's. I was paying $1.00 for 10 sockets, just dumped them in a bag. Time and again. Did get some good stuff and I quit worrying about the legality of some of these tools. The old days were interesting.
Thanks for the offer, next time I might send you a crate of stuff to unload.

I'm in the area...I just want to browse for tools to work with, not to collect. I don't care to socialise. Is this okay?

Whatever floats your boat 350............unsociable it is! I'll make sure you get a name tag that says "Don't speak to me.":bounce:

I'm just "pokin the bear" 350, come browse around.

Ok folks, I've got a bunch of people planning to attend from PA, MD, VA and possibles from NC and WV. There will also be a bunch of local mechanics there looking for tools, and getting rid of tools they no longer need.

Webcam: I will post the information on where to catch the feed when we get closer to next weekend.

Signs are made and will be set out tomorrow. Shop is "almost clean" and all my for trade stuff has been organized. I have at least 2 used tool dealers and the Snappy truck "might" be here offering special deals. Setting the webcam(s) up today for streaming for those of you that can't make it in person. Weather is supposed to be cloudy, but on precip in the forecast...............fingers crossed! :rocker:

You'll be within a mile when you head up 95 to go home.............(but you'll likely take 301)
