After college I moved into this apartment with a friend. We lived together for a year until I got married and my wife moved in. I have been living here since July 2007. I am obviously limited by the apartment company but I have still made myself a quality work space. This is a double deep 35x11 garage. Originally I thought I wouldn't like the double deep but it has proven itself. Pics will walk you through the progress.

Added to the garage:
From one 60 watt bulb to 4 150 watt bulbs in the ceiling
2 workbench lights
2 mini fridges
6' craftsman work bench with drawers
15' wire shelving on each side
2 storage cabinets
hose holder
craftsman ball bearing tool box
old plastic/metal tool box
rolling work table
computer/stereo shelf
fishing pole mounts

Here is just after I moved in (What a mess)

Great job from start to finish. I wish I had a garage that deep. I like the disc clock... very cool.

great job on making the best of what little room you have to work with. small garages are a pain to get setup just right

x2 on the Deep garage, that would be a blessing. I have a 2 car but hardly enough room to put a tool box in front of my cars

The civic turned out great, I looked through the other forum you posted, nice work. I hope you get good deals from your local Honda store, if not send me a PM, I work for Honda and could get you great pricing on US OEM parts

That's a great build thread you have there. Of all the Civics, that model was my fav. Great job rebuilding it! Have you found out why it's been running rich?

I like what you did with your garage as well - the tool chests as well as your SHP Customs logo - real creative!

Excellent -- shows that with a little imagination and a LOT of hard work you can have a nice place to do machanical work. Great job!!

Thanks for the pics.

im a college student living in an apartment complex with garages. they are 11x19. not huge, but enough room for most work. not exactly enough height to cherry pick a motor though.

deff a good use of space!

Thanks! Clock is from a company called AUTOart if you are interested. They make a bunch of fun stuff.

Thanks! This has been a pain trying to shuffle everything every time I add something. I will continue to make it better.

Great job! What's the story on the shirt? :headscrat

Thanks! Me, my roommate and one of my friends had an all weekend wrenchfest removing my engine and the engine out of my roommates project eclipse. At the end of the weekend he decided to mount it as a trophy for our hard word. It is still there because it reminds me of that really fun weekend.

The 2 deep as great for all of the motor work because I had room for the hoist and cart in front of the car. I could do all that work and keep the door closed to block noise. Glad you liked the civic. I work for TASAuto.com and we sell Honda parts so I have a great hook-up for parts. Thanks for the offer.

Thanks. I hope to elaborate on my build thread in the future. The car is not done yet. I have a bunch of little things to chase down but I have not fixed the engine yet. That is my project for Feb. And I am glad you like the logo.

Thanks. It has been a great place to do work on these small cars. I very functional mechanical work space. I love to woodwork as well but I haven't done much lately. Living in an apartment I just don't have as much need for woodwork. My firs house will have a mechanics garage and a wood shop in the basement. :)
