Grand Vise Master Quick Action Vise

I purchased this today at an estate sale. I have never seen one before. After picking the place out I came back to this vise. It was different so I took a second look. I noticed the trigger when I pulled it the jaw jumped back just then I knew I had to own this little vise.

Nice little quick release vise. Castings seem a little on the light side but it has some nice lines to it. How about a close up of the brass plate, is it asian?

Boy, I'd be all over that vise. Can you give us an idea of jaw size, and would you mind telling us the price?

The tag says 3-1/2" 40 dollars. It was steep for a light vise that I knew nothing about. But it was to cool to pass up. It says it casted from alloy steel not iron.

they made some special wrenches i'm always on the lookout for.

The nut is buried and the vise will not just unscrew and fall into two pieces. So I will leave it alone because it as of now works great and I want it to continue doing so.

Sweet vise notice your in ohio too have to keep a lookout for those up my way.
