I'm confused here. You state "A reader (thanks, Anode!) sent us an image of a spreadsheet that a Home Depot manager showed to them*, and it contained a list of some of the special tool-related deals we can expect to see on or around Black Friday."
This thread seems to indicate this is part of a "pro" Black Friday sale that begins around Monday. Obviously the prices are going to change? And it starts Monday?
Yes, then I realize it came from Tirade and added a correction.
I interpreted that these are Black Friday deals.
Some are to arrive shrouded, which I take to mean they'll likely remain that way until BF.
Is there anything on those spreadsheets that say these new displays will go out Monday?
The phase of Pro deals might start, kicked off by the deal of the day, but that's not an indication of the added in-store displays.
It's been my experience that there are 2 phases - a kick-off at the beginning of the month, and main-aisle stuff that go live on Black Friday. I'll check the local stores this week, but I haven't seen anything new last week, and in previous years any new center displays are covered in black garbage bags or similar coverings.
The Bosch Daredevil set was $20, and now it's $15. Last year, on Thanksgiving, I noted that it was $10.

I would bet they'll do the same this year.
If $15 was the target price, they would have added to it, and configured the set differently. If $10 was the target and they couldn't do it with this set, they might have come out with a smaller set for the same money.
But other deals, like the Dewalt tape deal, might remain fixed. I paid $20 for one 25' tape. The new special bundle is $20 for a 25' and 16'. There's already a Dewalt 2x 25' tape bundle for $15. I see no reason why Home Depot or Dewalt would seek lower pricing for the more premium tape double pack.
$20 for the 2 is already a good bargain.
The Milwaukee M-Spector for $99 seems like a good deal. I don't think it'll drop to $89. If that were in the plans, they would probably have been on display already, at $99.
But some tools, like the Ridgid tile saw, might be further discounted. The price I see for the tile saw is its everyday price. If it's going to take up prime floor space, it'll have to be more enticing.
A lot of what I said on ToolGuyd draws upon years of observations and notes.
Home Depot has been running their holiday sales pretty successfully, and so the timeline has become somewhat predictable. Lowes keeps changing things every year, but their timeline has been fairly predictable too.
At Lowes, displays go up the first week of November. By the second week, a lot of the tools go through the first round of discounts, with many of them staying at that price until maybe December, when a second price reduction is initiated.
Some HD tools are discounted in December as well, but it's unpredictable, and I believe in response to sales figures. The goal is to get all the tools off the sales floor by Christmas or shortly thereafter.
I'll scout things out at my local HDs on Monday or Tuesday. The prices on ToolGuyd reflect the prices I saw online this morning.
Online prices aren't always in sync with the in-store prices. Sometimes one leads the other.
I've also seen a price hike on some tools, such as the Milwaukee flashlight and knife combo, presumably so that it can go back to the promo price with "new lower price" badging.
