Hello, awhile back I posted, looking for info on a pole building, I have made the plunge and am ready to tear down the old building on the 17th of this month and the new construction starts the following week! here are some pics of my old dungeon like shop, these were taken today. A tree fell on it in january and did extensive damage to it, good thing the insurance paid! More pics to come as I Plug away at this project, the hardest thing to do was fit everything I want to keep into a 35' storage box ( on left) that is staying andf the new shop will be built 5' away from it.

Here are a few finished shots of the outside. The concrete comes next then the interior metal on the ceiling with blown in celulose insulation. Looks like I will need a few tri axles of fill for around the building..........grrrr.more money:mad:
Oh well, still much better than it was before.:shocking:

Finally...................after 2 weeks of yea I'll be there tomorrow they finally got here to pour it today. they just left alittle bit ago, it came out real nice, smooth as glass (just the way I want it) and they had just enough leftover to pour the little area between the garage and storage trailer ( I framed it up the other day in anticipation of them having the extra concrete:thumbup: ) So they are supposed to come back in a few days (not holding breath here) to put the inside ceiling in and blown in r-30 insulation. I am going to get my electric permit tomorrow so I can hook up my panel and get some light in there. More updates to follow!

Hi, havent been much else happening lately, got my electric panel in and inspected and just waiting for a certificate of occupancy now. floor is ready to coat but I havent decided what to use yet. I am thinking about sherwin williams Rexthane 1, it is a single component that they claim to work as good as the 1000hs. any comments on this stuff would be appreciated. the photos are of my last score. they came from a school that is re doing the kitchen, I got a call to come and get these tables outta here. they are heavy heavy heavy!!!. all stainless! pretty soon I will be putting these in the shop and getting some more progress pics.

Well, it has been awhile since I last posted, I did the epoxy floor coat between yesterday and today, had to rent a scarifier machine. took most of the day to grind the floor down from where I mistakenly had the concrete finished ultra smooth. Live and learn, if I had only known! dont power trowel your floor ultra smooth if you want to use epoxy, it wont bite into the surface!
anyhow I wound up using the Benjamin moore m40 and m41. worked great and what sold me was the sales rep coming to my garage and working with me to do the job! it was like having a professional instruction at the same time. He didnt charge for his time, just what he does for everyone he said! anyhow photos will follow tomorrow or so.

well, here are the photos as promised! the floor pics are actually dry! it looks wet. the other pic is the ceiling, I put up 15 2 bulb 8' T12 fixtures and spent alittle more dough on real good bulbs. I only have 3 hooked up now and it is bright enough to work like it is, I cant wait to see it with all the lights hooked up and the metal on the walls! now I am starting to wire the outlets, damn wire is expensive, 12/3 for the outlets is going to cost me around 400.00:shocking:

Well, I havent updated in awhile. I have been busy getting the interior of the building together and cleaning and organizing tools and boxes. So yesterday I am cleaning out my dad's tool box. He passed away in 2002 and I inherited his tools. His ***** of a wife damn near cleaned all of his good tools out before I came to pick it up, but who am I to argue with her about it. there wasnt a will. so I picked it up in 2002 and I havent been up to using his tools, just kinda made me feel funny using them so I finally decided to clean the box out and combine his tools and mine and re organize everything. after I cleaned out the top draw on the box, I lifted the liner and couldnt believe my eyes, his mad money stash! $1500.00 bucks hidden from his wife....lol before he died he told me to make sure I got his toolbox and clean it out, but I guess he was trying to tell me something. lol...........thanks Pop!

The garage is looking fantastic, Rizz! Be sure to post some more pics of the interior. I'd love to see the loft too.

Sweet find in dad's box. And a Snap-On to boot! I have no doubt that your dad would be glad that you're using his tools now.
