You sure that's not one of the later USA manufactured vises in that style? I thought someone had posted pics of a new old stock version of a rotating style vise, that was made in the USA, by one of the major vise brands, or maybe sears or Ace.

That one is 100% Chinese made as was the Wilton branded one I owned which looked identical in every way. They're fine for lightish duty use.

If it was USA made, why would a USA manufacturer not cast or stamp it ON the vise? I don't care what the box it came in said, that was made off the coast of California, WAY off the coast.... Just my opinion.

Thank you for the info; I did not realize it was china made. Not such the great deal I thought it was; but has held up well so far. Although, I do more wood working related/Light DIY stuff than real fabrication work.
