What constitutes the difference between a one car and a two car garage? Is there any legal description? Is it size? Does a two car garage become that at 20x20 or less? Please help me, I need answers on this one quickly.

One garage door on a smaller building is considered a one-car garge. The remaining space can be called a "workshop", "woodshop" or "exercise room" even if you can get a car into the space.

Two doors and it becomes a 2-car garage.

What about a garage with a single door large enough to fit 2 cars through? Is that still a 1 car garage?

I would say a space 20' x 10' would qualify as a 1 car garage (in the UK a basic garage can be 16' x 8' !!!).:shocking:

So 20'x20' would be 2 car and so on. Just my opinion of course!
