OK,

Tis the season again. For those who are new this year to the board, welcome to the 2009 GJ Secret Santa for Senior Members. We had a great time last season and hopefully this year will be even better.

Link to Last Year's Secret Santa Thread

How to be involved:

1. Post here that you are in, then send me a PM with your name and address.

2. On the 28th of November at 8PM EST I will gather all the participants names and put them in a hat and draw random names. Secret Santas are not reciprocal, meaning the member you are Secret Santa for is not necessarily your Secret Santa (Completely random, but it may happen). By 10 PM EST I will PM you back with who you are the Secret Santa for.

3. You should try to have your Secret Santa Gift to your member by the 20th of December.

4. Mark your parcel in some way with Secret Santa so the member doesn't inadvertently open it. It is OK to include your name in a place so when the package is opened on Christmas, the person can know who it was from.

5. When you get your package, post a pic of it by the tree, upside down tree, menorah or what have you.

6. If you participate, you must be willing to ship to our overseas members.

7. When you get the name of your member, it may be helpful to review his posts and find his likes and dislikes. This can be exhausting and difficult, but it makes it part of the fun!

8. There is no monetary limit, but would suggest to stay under around $30.00. You can send somebody something new or used, or even something you made yourself!

9. When Christmas day comes, we post what our Secret Santas got us.

10. This is open to Senior members (over 100 posts) as of the last day at 8pm on the 28th of November.

I will periodically list members who are participating and put an asterisk next to their name if I have their info. If you don't have an asterisk by your name, then I don't have your contact info.

Lets roll

I guess that I will sign up before the cutoff date this year. I am in.

If I get an "Oversees" Member how can I ask for advice on shipping with out them finding out who is sending the present? I have never had to ship anything out of the Lower 48.

Go to the post office, tell them where you want to ship it. Fill out a customs sticker and pay. :)

ALL!!! Please note. I am moving the Cutoff date earlier to facilitate more time to mail and to shop for your member.

The NEW CUTOFF DATE is now the 28th of NOVEMBER at 8 PM EST!

This is the date I have to have your information, and I draw the names.

AWESOME! Also allows a bit more time to review the person we drew.
