I got a relative by marriage who is from Germany. I'm sure someone she knows on the other side of the pond could get me whatever I want and sent it to me. Is it worth it or should I just pay the premium from tool dealers in the US for them? I started working on cars at VW back when the beetle came out and VW was busy and remember all the Hazet stuff we used to use in the shop. It was good quality stuff on par with SO. I'd like to add some to my toolbox.

Someone unfamiliar with buying tools may not know a good place to buy them. If you knew a good place, chances are they would be happy to ship and you could buy either over the phone or the net.

Hazet and Stahlwille are both on my buy what I can find list, just not at new prices. ;)

No. They still make just about any tool you need right here in the USA.
