Wilton vise on ebay - good deal?

Used Wilton 450s, $270 plus shipping (~$70 to my location). This is a $500-600 vise if purchased new.

The description is just copied from the Wilton site, with the addition "Used but in Very Nice Shape" whatever that means. The picture shows the whole lot of 11 vises, they look decent but it's hard to tell.

Decent deal or pass? Has anyone ever used this ebay seller?

i would say pass on it only because ive seen vices go crazy cheap on craigslist if you can wait for a deal

I agree, keep an eye on Craigslist. You'll probably find a bigger one for a fraction of that!

You can even get cheaper on ebay, 340 for a used vise is alot.

Looks like he is picking the best from the pile, which means you won't see the one you get until you get it.....pass.

Thanks guys, I passed. My dad has a 300N and it's a great vise, I've been after a 450S for several months. It's harder to find a good deal when looking for one specific model, and too easy to get excited about mediocre deals!

Keep looking. I found two of those on CL for 85 each. I bought both and sold the other one to someone here on the board for cost + shipping.
