The supervisor of the volunteers at an aviation museum where I used to volunteer made this from scratch.

I thought it was really cool so here it is. Made from aircraft aluminum.

Tray that sits inside the box. There is enough room underneath for the stuff thats in there to still fit.

He was saying that where he worked before he taught all the volunteers how to make their own as a starter project.

It's amazing how much storage room there is in it. Very organized, lightweight and allows for many different sized tools.

that is awfully cool handywork. that guy put forth a lot of effort and though to get it just right. simple, functional, sturdy and way off the cool factor chart.

Nice!

I totally dig those kind of custom, one of a kind personal projects. They last a lifetime and really get looks

Very nice!

Most apprentice aero engineers (certainly here in the U.K.) make these as part of their apprenticeship. They start by making holders for tech logs and stuff, then on to boxes (generally tool boxes) then eventually aircraft parts!

This is one of the nicest I have seen though, and really sensibly proportioned! You are obviously working with a real craftsman!

Laid out very well , you doNot have to move tools since each "drawer"
Is shallow enough. You should be able to spot any missing tools since there seems to be a designated space .

Something could be replicated by a wood worker easily.

Thanks for sharing.
