Does anybody own or have any experience with these lifts? I'm in the market for a mid rise lift and was looking at the various scissor style lifts. However, they all obstruct access to the center of the vehicle plus most are only 6000#. My truck weighs almost 7000#. The Atlas Kwik Bay looks good because the center is open plus is rated for 7000#. Any pros or cons??

Just bought one and have to say it is constructed well. Picked up my 3/4 ton GMC extended cab (6600 lbs) with no problem. Works great with my 10 ft ceilings. Nothing to complain about.

month late here but.......... I just got 1 yesterday. If I could get the thing to work, I'd probably love it. I hooked up the electrical today and the motor won't work. A call to G.S.E. & still no success. I don't have the air locks hooked up yet and I'm wondering if that's my problem (guy at GSE said it didn't matter)??

I've got one..never did hook up the air locks line..there are no "permissives" to stop the lift from "going up" with the air lock line disconnected...

The electric cord..got to an electrician from work...
and he helped me make the wire connections to get the proper rotation
There was some strange color matches

hmmm....guess I better be calling an electrician then. I would've thought that with the electric cord only having 3 wires I could handle wiring this thing up..apparently not. 2 of the wires are twisted together from the factory (blue and black) which I was told are the hot and that the yellow w/green stripe wire is the ground. So I bought a 2 prong plug and hooked them up...no power at all. The manual that's provided with the lift is about useless too. :lol_hitti

Blue, Black and Green-with-Yellow are pretty standard for European, Asian and Australian AC wiring. The only "trick" is that Blue=White. (Or Red, for 240 wiring, which nearly all European, Asian and Australian wiring is...)

(Useta work wit' a loada Aussies, I did, moites.)

Get into the actual motor wiring and the connections should make sense. If it's 240, it should be Blue to one hot, Black to the other and Y/G to ground. Um, make sure it's a 60Hz motor while you're at it; with that wiring I wouldn't be surprised to see a 50Hz unit on there, which will burn up on US current.

Thank you very much! Your explanation cleared up my mistake. I'm a *******....:lol_hitti

My lift now goes up.....and tmrw it will be able to go back down after I get the air lines hooked up for the safety locks.

Just curious - does the lift operate without the air locks hooked up? If you did hook them up, what did you use? The connector looks odd.

It goes up with no problem.. and locks solidly
I made a couple of 3/4" sticks to hold the lock bars up slightly when I'm ready to lower it

The connector isn't odd, it needs an 8MM OD Pneumatic Polyurethane Tube.. My package came with the quick connect that mates up to an NPT fitting. Didn't come with the 8MM tube though, had to order it from ebay/amazon..
