Saw this tonight. Besides for the crooked badges, it looks and felt good! The nice shiny red/orangy paint, the draws opened/closed smoothly. I took some pics.

Have seen it in my store too. I really like it. I'd like to see it on a real good sale price though. Then it would be more tempting. At that price I'm not gonna jump on it.

Checked them out at my local store.
No, I don't think they are better than Craftsman. Maybe better than the entry boxes.

Above the Vietnamese boxes you often see at Costco, about like a Stanley entry level roller box.
I've seen worse at Home Depot.

The rollers on the HF 26 box did not feel as nice as most Chinese boxes, the metal was thinner than a Griplatch Craftsman box.

Pepboys sells a 400 dollar box right now that is superior in every way to the 26 HF.

The 41 inch HF is still a decent box, but only at sale prices.

I've seen it in two stores but not unboxed. I have to admit it looks lower end. If it goes on sale at $200-$250 it would be a good deal for some.

looks like they finally wised up and ditched the aweful wrinkle finish paint
I don't mind the wrinkle finish as much as the orange-red color. I think the 45" set would look good in a dark black with grey drawers.

I'd have to rate that box a fail. I played with one in person this week. It's built solidly, much better than the same-price Craftsman. However, the sliders are ****. With a normal tool load in the drawers, they don't move worth a damn. For the same money, you can get the 13-drawer red roller cabinet which has a hell of a lot better sliders and is slightly better built.

I'm close to buying the red 26" cabinet from HF since there's a coupon for $299.

Wrinkle paint - good for hiding imperfections in the metal or paint........
Personally, for that kind of money, even with a coupon, I would wait for a deal on CL for used older Craftsman boxes with friction slides. No way am I going to create a demand for more overseas metal to be purchased here.
Guess it is all a matter of personal preference.

got one for 350.
Its a nice box, i mostly use it to store stuff at work i dont use often and use the rollcart for daily stuff
it is only rated for 830 lbs, i did like the shallow deep drawers.
if your nervous or indecisive get a whole mess of impact sockets and shove them into a drawer and see how it closes and works.
for 350 i was happy and use it daily.

ps the damn top chest was dented on mine, had to swap it out, new one was dented too but i knocked that out

I dont agree that this is better than the craftsman, i have the craftsman (red ball bearing). I do agree that it is better than the lower end gray basic craftsman, or those horribly cheap evolves they have now

Thanks, Looks like a nice unit.
Wonder if I could fit it into my Alero 4 door?
The 5 drawer HF cart would not fit the Alero.
Would like to just haul it my self in my car, as HF is a good hour away.
Does it just come in a cardboard box?
Is it (cardboard box) much bigger than the tool box?
Fellow on You Tube did a review, has pretty well sold me.

I've compared alot of these store boxes as I've been looking into buying one. Craftsmen are junk. Unless you wanna spend 800-900$. Husky is even worse. There old stuff was nice but real junk now. Both craftsmen and husky use such thin gauge steel. The draws look like there gonna fall off they move so much. Even when loaded. This box is better than both crapsmen and krusty for the price. You will not get a better box for that price unless you find a crackhead with a hot name brand to pawn. And the HF 5 draw cart is really heavy duty too. I love USA made stuff but there quality is garbage these days it's sad to say. And no I don't own a HF box

Thanks mrbreeze for scanning that $289.99 coupon. It worked for me today and this cabinet is a steal at that price. Quality was great for a homeowner grade cabinet.
