Seems that snap on's website says the blue point impact wrenches are made in china.... someone needs to find who supplies snap on so we can all indulge ourselves with cheap blue point impact wrenches.

I have a Blue Point Angle 1/4 collet grinder. Despite being made it Taiwan it's still been an excellant tool. It's 5 years old and still getting it done. It's pretty quiet as well.

I think the point here is that the Chinese stuff has to meet Snap-on specifications and quality control; the same supplier could be making the unusable junk available elsewhere for the vendors that have no standards.
The Chinese are perfectly capable of making good stuff, but we have generally taught them that Americans will buy anything, then buy another of the same when the first one breaks...they pretty clearly see no point in watching over quality unless they have to to get a contract. Go around the quality control, and you're back at K-Mart.

Just about every Blue-Point branded tool is going to be of Asian origin. Blue-Point impacts are not even near the same as Snap-On branded guns.
