Thanks for sharing! How terrific, to have an oustanding relic of a bygone era still in production. It was plants and companies like this that made our country an ecomomic powerhouse, along with the engineers and workers that built and ran them.

I enjoyed that.
But did they say the blade gets removed every TWO HOURS for sharpening?! That HAS to be a typo.

They'd have to go through three or four blades a day, depending on how quick they can change it out, and if they run 8 or 10 hour shifts.

There's no way that sharpening room could keep up with it.

Is the back edge of that bandsaw blade the worn out teeth from running the blade from the opposite side?
