Kiwi makes some nice tiles similar to racedeck. Sears and Home-Depot also carry some less expensive plastic tiles with holes.

overstock and Costco sell Race Deck which is rebranded. Costco flooring is going on sale on Monday for $89 a case Black, white and Grey are your only choices though.

Racedeck does not rebrand their tile. At least thats what i was told by my racedeck dealer. Tiles at sears, costco, etc look like racedeck but are lighter and cannot support the load of true racedeck tile.

Thanks guys for the replies. This is a great site.

Ron, I actually almost used a link to your site, but wasn't sure if it was allowed on these forums. You have lots of great stuff on your site.

I too saw GarageDeck on the Racedeck website. I chatted online with someone via RaceDeck's website, and they said that they didn't make GarageDeck, which kind of led to my post. If you go to motofloor.com or garagedeck.com, it takes you to racedeck, to help confirm sandoval's findings. Just odd they would deny making it. Has anyone here used either of the rebrands? Are they as good as the original?

If you have a product that sells for $4 Sqft and you can go to Costco and get it for $1.87 what would you buy. I think the sales person is being dishonest... go figure!

BTW the sale is on through June 12th $89.99 for a pack of 48 I made my purchase this morning.

Anyone have an extra tile from Costco i could compare to my race deck tile ? I have a few extra race deck tiles if anyone would like to use one for comparison. It certainly appears Snaplock manufactures several brands of tile but are they the same thing ?

GarageDeck vs. pvc tiles

What's your opinion on the GarageDeck (Polypropylene copolymer)tile vs. other floor (pvc) tiles. I understand that GarageDeck is 1/2" thick as opposed to 1/4" thick for other tiles. I assume this would mean that the shock absorbtion rate would be higher w/ GD for those with bad knees or feet. This tile is being considered for a garage floor being used as an artist studio (welding, wood/stone carving, some water or chemicals) and would be installed in the heavy traffic area only. (Not the entire floor.) Heavy equipment will not be sitting on the tiles.
