Best replacement for Rigid shop Vac hose

Glad to hear it worked out. I am late to the party but for others, sometimes the hose ends will unscrew from the corrugated hose. Your local vacuum shop or janitorial supply that services the carpet cleaner businesses may have bulk hose the same size, that you can screw the ends into. And yes, Oneida makes a very nice hose. I bought a shorter one a few years back because I needed their ends. Didn't think about a pool supply but that would have worked too.

Not really sure how to answer this question. I can say that it definitely has some mass to it. I currently have it hanging on a hose hanger on the side of my dust collector. The box it was shipped in was an 18“ cube and could probably be stored easily in that box.

Right after this thread hit I bought one of the orange hoses from HD. It may not be the best but it is a world better than the black hose that came w/ the vac.

I have the Rigid suitcase vac, or at least that is what I call it. It is a rectangle box and the hose, cord and most accessories are contained. Two straight pieces are clamped to the side. The thing I always disliked about canister vacs are how clumsy they are with the hose and wand attached it constantly falls down out of storage position. But, like the OP I really dislike the short corrugated hose, also like one other member mentioned in this thread, I had a big dirty job and thought I’d like to try a cyclone separator with this vacuum. Check out my build thread and see which new hose I bought and how my cyclone box is also the storage container for my 25 ft. Hose.
